The Daily Post Challenge for this week is to show how big, or little, the world can seem.
A small heap of sand can seem to be a mountain with the perspective.
In the distance, the coast seems very small.
The lighthouse of Chassiron (Oleron Island) seems very high when we are at its foot.
The characters are very tall on this street art.

To see the earth upside down through the glass of a lighthouse, is for me rare.

Pour cette semaine, Sylvain Landry nous défie de poster une photographie liée aux communications, quelles qu’elles soient.
J’ai fait simple en choisissant ce phare du Tréport en Normandie : juste une lumière pour indiquer l’entrée du port et guider les marins dans la tempête. Maintenant, nous sommes passés à d’autres modes de communication, car les bateaux, comme les avions et les voitures peuvent être auto-guidés avec l’électronique, mais c’est toujours un homme qui devra prendre la décision finale.
For this week, Sylvain Landry challenges us to post a picture related to the communications of any kind.
I did this simply by choosing the lighthouse of Le Tréport in Normandy just a light to indicate the harbor entrance and guide sailors in the storm. Now we have moved to other modes of communication, as the boats, like airplanes and cars can be self-guided with electronics, but it’s still a man who will make the final decision.

I take you to the tip of the Island of Oléron, where the wind blows hard to make you admire the lighthouse Chassiron adorned sailor stripes in Jean Paul Gaultier style.
Je vous emmène à la pointe de l’Ile de l’Oléron, là où le vent souffle fort pour vous faire admirer le phare de Chassiron, paré de rayures de marin du style Jean-Paul Gaultier.
We can see the reflection of the lighthouse in the front door, the sea through the window being located on the other side of the house which became a museum.
On peut voir outre la réflexion du phare dans la porte d’entrée, la mer par la fenêtre se situant de l’autre côté de la maison devenue musée.
On the small sign is written a maxim which unfortunately reveals true, comparing the strength of men and oceans.
Sur la petite pancarte est écrite une maxime qui se révèle hélas vraie, comparant la force des hommes et celle des océans.
The panel explains that the stripes have been added to make the lighthouse more visible by sailors, not to make it more beautiful or elegant.
Le panneau nous explique que les rayures ont été ajoutées pour rendre le phare plus visible par les marins, et non plus beau ou élégant.
On this last picture, the shape of the tree shows how the wind can blow sometimes.
Sur la dernière photo, la forme de l’arbre vous montre à quel point le vent peut souffler parfois.
